What is an 'omakase' menu and how does it work here?

Omakase is a Japanese phrase that means "I'll leave it up to you." At Northend Leoat, this means you are entrusting our head chef to create a unique, multi-course tasting menu for you. The dishes are based on the absolute best and freshest seasonal ingredients available on that day, offering a spontaneous and exclusive culinary journey.

Is there a specific dress code for dining at your restaurant?

To maintain the elegant atmosphere of our dining room, we adhere to a 'smart casual' dress code. We kindly ask that our guests refrain from wearing sportswear, shorts, or overly casual t-shirts and sandals. A collared shirt for gentlemen and similar attire for ladies is recommended to ensure a refined and enjoyable experience for all of our guests.

How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?

Due to our intimate seating arrangement and the detailed preparation required for our omakase menu, we highly recommend making reservations at least one to two weeks in advance. For weekend bookings or special occasions, we suggest booking even earlier to secure your preferred date. Reservations can be made easily through our website or by telephone with our staff.

Can the omakase menu accommodate specific dietary restrictions?

Yes, our chefs can often accommodate certain dietary restrictions, such as gluten intolerance or shellfish allergies, with sufficient advance notice. Because the menu is carefully planned, it is essential that you inform us of any specific requirements at the time of booking. Discover the Masai Mara National Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park on a 4-day tour from Nairobi city. Go deep into the African plains and set out on daily game drives across the park. All the Big Five are here with many mammals and birds in this Masai Mara plain. Watch for the animals that emerge at dusk, see hippos and crocodiles along the banks of the Mara River, see the park’s stunning ‘Great Migration’. Feast your eyes with sightings of flamingos and White Rhinos in Lake Nakuru.

Day 01 :

Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve

8:00AM Depart from Nairobi towards Maasai Mara reserve via rift valley viewpoint where you will have a stop over for sightseeing weather permitting. Arrive in the camp/lodge in time for lunch and later enjoy a game drive in this land of breath taking where everything is big. Hunt for the big five as well as the plain game such as the gnus that are abundant. Overnight and Dinner at the camp/lodge.

Day 02 :

Masai Mara Full Day

Enjoy a full day game viewing in the rolling grass of Mara with endless Plain where more than two million wild beast gnu’s are migrating from Serengeti in Tanzania with their calves. Visit the banks of Mara River to try and spot the Hippos. Optional visit to a Maasai village to learn their un- changed culture. Overnight and Dinner at the camp/lodge

Day 03 :

Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru

A last game run in the picturesque Maasai Mara in the morning through the Rift Valley drive to Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, renowned for its spectacular flamingo population as one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles. Although Lake Nakuru is primarily a bird sanctuary, there are a considerable number of animals to be encountered, such as many large game animals such as zebras, elephants and gazelles, this is one of our best chances of seeing rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. Here is one of the few places where we can see Rothschild’s giraffes. Dinner and overnight at a budget hotel/lodge.

Day 04 :

Lake Nakuru – Nairobi

After breakfast, morning spent game viewing, watching and photographing birds at Nakuru National Park. Leave for Nairobi with lunch enroute and a stop for panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley . This one of the few places where we can see Rothschild’s giraffes. . Arrive Nairobi late in the afternoon after driving through lush Kikuyu farmland then be dropped in your Nairobi hotel.
